The Axminster Concert season has now
been going for over twenty five years and
provides a much needed platform for local
artists to perform a whole variety of styles
of music from classical through to more
light hearted programmes.
We are particularly pleased to offer an
opportunity to the many very talented
younger artists in our area.
Our thanks go to all who give of their time
and talents both on stage and off -
our audiences who provide much needed
revenue for the upkeep of our beautiful
Grade 2 listed building.
It has been a great joy for me, coming to
Axminster as the new Rector of the Mission
Community, to find so much music at the
Minster. I trust this season will be every bit
as successful as those in the past.
We look forward to welcoming you at the
concerts throughout the summer.
The Minster has long been a place of music
and, at the centre of Axminster, a place for
meeting and making friends.
It has been a place of Christian worship
since 786AD and worship continues in our
day with regular services at 8am and
10.30am on Sundays and at 10am on
Tuesdays and Fridays.
You are warmly invited to join us at any
service, and if you would like to ask for
prayer or to talk, please speak to one of the
concert helpers, or contact me.
